🤫 Stop Setting Goals That Die (Powerful Secret Inside)

Reading time: 2 minutes to transform your approach to achievement

Before 2025 started (well, before December 2024 started), I set some pretty audacious goals for this year, and things were going along pretty great until several weeks ago when I noticed swelling in the ball of my right foot.

My physical and training goals came to a halt, and even today, I can't quite walk on the bare floor without wearing a thick sock or a slipper.

Whomp whomp.

Maybe you know the feeling of setting a big goal... and then watching it slowly die?

It's not your fault. Most goals fail because they lack a critical element: structure.

In my case, I needed not only structure, but also guidance. Specifically: professional guidance. By coaching myself, and not having external input on "how much is too much," I overdid it and the waiting is making a little bonkers. Especially because I know better. Especially because it could've been avoided.

Someone of you asked me about my lame foot from my message the other day--and I appreciate your concern. (Thank you.) It is getting better, but every day I am unable to do my power walking I am reminded (again) how unnecessary this delay in my goals is.

In my book Vision to Reality, I reveal the STMA™ (Short-Term Massive Action) framework that I've used to help thousands turn their biggest dreams into tangible results.

The secret? Working in focused 100-day increments where each day represents just 1% of your journey.

Why this works when nothing else has:

  • Your brain responds to urgency (100 days creates the perfect timeline)
  • Daily 1% progress makes tracking simple (no complex math needed)
  • The Five Points of Accountability protect you from failure (doing too much, too little, and avoiding avoidable mistakes)
  • Your actions become habits that ultimately become your identity

I leaned into this system, created in my early 20s, when I was a single mom in my mid-30s, trying to double my income while working fewer hours. It worked so well I started hitting my annual goals in just 100 days.

While you don't have to have necessarily need a coach to implement this framework, it really is just a start. The book provides everything you need to structure your own 100-day journey, and gives you a line of sight to what's possible.

It's a great place to start and allows you to test-drive the system to see if it works for you.

--> When it does, you'll want to circle back with Brianna Hendley to take everything to the next level.

P.S. If you've tried other goal-setting strategies without success, this is different. The STMA™ framework is specifically designed to work with your brain's natural tendencies rather than fighting against them.

Reading time: 45 seconds In my inbox one day this past week: Hi Honoree, I've checked out all of your books. Which one should I start with to sell a lot of books? I want to be a master book marketer. I have two answers: If you haven't already published your book, there's still time to make it awesome (see below). If you've already published your book, cross-check it against the list below. Note: You may have to start over. #sorrynotsorry Be sure to read Chapter 1 in You Must Market Your Book...

Reading time: 32.78 seconds I have received so many emails, texts, and other messages about my foot. Thank you, thank you, thank you. (Update: it's better every day and I'm back to my workouts. Cue the endorphins and endocannabinoids! Woo hoo!) Building an empire is the long-term play, and I can attest I've been off track many, many times over the past two and a half decades while building mine. Most recently, success in one area of pursuit has caused a stall in another area. It happens....

Reading time: 60 seconds #OhNoYouDidn't Now you've done it. You've hit a wall and no matter what you try (Right Before Wrong, Compelling Reasons and even Lead a Horse to Water), nothing works. You're stuck. Your wheels are spinning but you're not getting traction. The lights are on but nobody's home. I get it, I truly do. But when you think about your options you get overwhelmed (or underwhelmed, fair point, guy in the back) or hang out in the analysis paralysis lounge. Let me have one more...
