Your Best Days Starts Here

Reading Time: Long Postcard (48 seconds)

You've waited long enough to hear about how to win your day before breakfast; however, I do enjoy responses to my emails and the last couple of days have been extra fun.

Thank you for those who have read and responded. We'll find how how Ms. Cat Food has kept the weight off (and more) tomorrow.

But if you're reading this before breakfast (hey, early riser!), here are three things I'll do before speaking with another human:

  1. Move my body. I'm focused on three things: strength, flexibility, and endurance (for the long-term). Every morning, I'm focused on releasing my body's natural happiness chemicals (reduces the chance of a homicide that day, just sayin') and getting my blood flowing, which increases my creativity. Even a quick 20 minute will get your blood flowing and releases those feel-good chemicals. Do something--a walk, a workout, some stretching—whatever gets you energized and alert.
  2. Feed my mind. I review and rewrite my goals, and read at least ten pages in a book (not related to my bespoke book projects). I'm staying focused on my goals, personal and professional growth, and continuous learning. You can read something inspiring, listen to a motivational podcast, or (ahem) review your goals (3x/day right?). What goes into our brains first thing will set the tone for the day--and of course you want to have a fantastic day, right?
  3. Plan my wins. I review what's on my calendar, top priorities, and ensure my actions are in alignment with my goals. That's what gets done first, no matter what. I also set intentions that every conversation, meeting, and word I write is going to be magnificent, because, why not?

If you do these three things before breakfast, you'll win the day!

See you tomorrow--

Reading Time: Postcard (less than 30 seconds) Steve asked a great question, "Do I need to make every single change to see results [with Feng Shui]?" The answer is, unequivocally, no. You don't need to hire a Feng Shui consultant. You don't need to "Marie Kondo" your entire house. You just need to look at your environment with fresh eyes and ask: "How does my space feel and is it helping me become who I want to be?" If the answer is yes, leave it be! And if the answer is no? Change it, one...

Reading Time: Postcard (less than 30 seconds) Did you know: Your environment is making decisions for you whether you realize it or not. There are dozens of micro-decisions you will make today based on the previous major and micro decisions you've made. If you're like me, when there are cookies in the house, you'll eat them. (Sure I can put them in the freezer "for the future" but the future is in about 20 minutes...) If my workout clothes aren't laid out the night before and ready to go, I...

Reading Time: Postcard (25 seconds) Yesterday I shared that Ms. Cat Food and I were Feng Shui practitioners--and boy did y'all love this idea. I promised to share some fun and effective actions you can take. Before I share them, let me say that everything is energy and if you have a problem, there's a good chance you've got some congestion. What you need is circulation, and Feng Shui is a circulation catalyst. Here's what she did, what I did, and what you can do: 1. Declutter everything. Get...
