Are you celebrating? Part 2

Reading Time: 28 seconds

Okay, yesterday we talked about celebrating, specifically the day you became an author for the first time. (If you're headed that direction, make some notes!)

Did you add your author anniversary to your calendar as a recurring appointment? I sure hope so.

Then you got an announcement that Phil Whitebloom published The Sales Fixer and it's already working it's magic for his business. It's fun to see him so excited about this, his second book!

Part 2 of your on-going celebrating needs to be about each of your book titles. Pull out your calendar again and for each of your books, add in another recurring celebration.

Yes, this includes books you've written, ghostwritten, contributed a chapter to, etcetera and so forth.

"Then what, Honorée?" I can hear you saying. As always, I'm glad you asked.

Plan an annual book birthday celebration, of course! Now while it's entirely possible I've lost my mind (as I sometimes do when temperatures go below 65 degrees Fahrenheit), but not about this.

On January 6th, The Divorced Phoenix turned 10. So I had someone who gets along better with Canva than I do create this image:

On January 9th, The Successful Single Mom turned 17! She was my second book and was the beginning of that six book series as well as my love of helping single moms. 🥰 So, of course, we've got an image for her, too:

You can have a ball talking about your book birthday--and you'll be pleasantly surprised when you see a whole new bunch of people discover your year- or years-old work!

Now if you head on over to my Instagram, you'll see when I upload stories about these and other book birthdays. I also occasionally talk about my kids (read: books) on Facebook and LinkedIn.*

I hope you're inspired to keep celebrating, but we're not quite done with this conversation yet.

I'll continue tomorrow.

P.S. I've even started something new over on Substack, and if you consider yourself a fan or super fan of mine, you'll want to get on over there.

Reading Time: 36 seconds One of my dearest friends is constantly reminding me to celebrate--big wins, little wins, all the wins. It's tempting to just nod, smile, and go "Okay, that's great. Next!" But I'm talking out of both sides of my mouth, if you know what I mean. To myself, I nod and move on. To others, I say, "But you have to celebrate!" It's really great (not being sarcastic, really) to have people in your life who point out these, ahem, discrepancies. I'm here to remind you to...
