⛓️‍💥 Big Break, Bigger Dreams: See You Soon!

Reading Time: One quick minute

Huge thank you for those that read these daily emails ...

and ... for the next three weeks, you won't find me in your inbox every morning with my usual dose caffeinated book commentary.

It's been a great year so far and I'm taking a much-needed break to review, recharge, and rejuvenate.

However, before I go, let me leave you with some golden nuggets to keep your writing, book, and empire-building dreams alive while I'm disconnected:

Writing Tip: Your first draft's job isn't to be good—it's to exist. Don't edit as you go and just get the words out. Remember: You can't edit a blank page, but you can absolutely transform a messy one into something magnificent (with the help of a great team, of course). You'll want to read Write Your First Nonfiction Book and The Bestselling Book Formula.

Marketing Magic: Your book's biggest competitor isn't other books—it's Netflix, social media, and a thousand other distractions. Make your marketing about connection, not just promotion. People buy books from authors they feel they know. Be sure to check out You Must Market Your Book.

Monetization Wisdom: Don't just think "book sales." Think "what does my reader need" and give it to them. One book can become a course, speaking gig, coaching program, consulting, or even a community! The sky is the limit! My bestselling course of all time is Building a Million Dollar Book Business and students LOVE it because it helps them think and execute without the painful learning curve.

While I'm away doing absolutely nothing productive (and loving every minute of it), keep writing, keep dreaming, and keep turning those ideas into income streams.

I'll be back soon with fresh insights, new strategies, and probably a few vacation stories that have nothing to do with publishing but everything to do with why taking breaks makes us better creators.

Important insight: I'm also cooking up some changes to how we do things around here. Nothing earth-shattering, but... well, you know how I love a good evolution.

Oh, and BOLO! (be on the lookout) for September 23rd—it's my birthday, and I'm celebrating by putting all my courses on sale for one day only. Consider it my gift to you (even though technically, you're the one buying something... but let's not overthink the logistics of birthday generosity). 🤭

Keep the pages turning and I'll be back in October.

P.S. If you write something amazing while I'm gone, save it to tell me about when I return. I love hearing about your wins!

Reading Time: 47 seconds I'm sure some of you will hate this strategy, and that's totally fine. It's important to engage in the tactics that work best for your book, based on solid strategy. If gifting your book isn't a great idea for your book, don't do it. But if it is, you will want to trust me when I say giving it away is a solid and effective idea. Today's tip: Stop hoarding your book—give it away strategically to multiply your results. If you're treating your book like a precious...

Email challenges are one of the most effective ways to grow your subscriber base while providing genuine value to potential readers. They create engagement, demonstrate your knowledge, and naturally introduce your books and courses to interested audiences. I've seen excellent results with challenges like the Vision to Reality 7-Day Challenge and the 8-Day Write Your Book...
