The Ice Hasn't Melted My Motivation

Reading Time: 13 very chilly seconds

The good news: we have power. The bad news: stepping outside still feels like auditioning for a role in Frozen.

(Let it go, let it gooooooo.)

Today, my mission is simple—stay focused. While the world outside looks like a snow globe someone has been shaking a little too enthusiastically, I've got a hot cup of coffee and a to-do list that frankly does not care (even a little bit) about the weather conditions.

If you're also iced in, I see you! And, I hope you're keeping your groove on. Sometimes these things are the universe's way of saying, "Hey, remember that project you've been putting off? Now would be a great time to take some action on it."

I'll be making some progress on a long-term project since I won't be going anywhere anytime soon. (I'll also be taking a disco nap at lunchtime--go me!)

Hope you're staying warm, as productive as you can, all while keeping in mind: the ice will melt, but your goals should stay solid.

Warmly (and literally from under a blanket),

Honorée Corder.

P.S. Speaking of staying focused—my book Vision to Reality gives you a proven 100-day system to achieve your biggest goals through short-term massive action. If you're looking for a productive way to spend your snow day, grab a copy here.

Reading Time: 17 seconds Happy Friday! I don't know about you, Reader, but I can practically taste the weekend—even if I'll be spending it in the same spot I've occupied for a week. The ice is still hanging on with impressive determination, but you know what? So am I!! I decided that no matter what happens, my response is gonna be: "That's awesome!" Mrs. Claus made a meatloaf, but the oven doesn't work? That's awesome! (Byron threw it on the grill--it was delish!) The insurance won't get the...

Reading Time: 23 still very chilly seconds You might think by Day 6 of being iced in, I'd be climbing the walls or reorganizing my spice cabinet for the fourth time. Or drinking that peach moonshine one of our neighbors gifted us a few months ago. But no (at least not yet, 😉)—I'm still locked in on my intended outcomes. Some of you know I used to say I had a t-shirt that said, "I'm sorry I'm late, I didn't want to come." Then my brother got me one for Christmas. I may or may not be wearing it...

Reading Time: 33 seconds It turns out 11 degrees does feel significantly colder than 33 degrees--who knew? That's how cold it was when I took the dogs out yesterday morning. And believe you me, I was bundled up like Nanuk of the North--all the layers, hat, lined boots, etc. While some of my friends just loooooove the cold (you know who you are), I prefer temps in the 60s, 70s, and 80s. Since you're building an empire and I am too, I thought I'd share what got me moving (besides the dogs) and...
