Virtual Summits are an Awesome Income Stream

Message to me from a former empire builder and summit hosting expert:

If you want position myself as the authority in your field, considering hosting a virtual summit.

Long story short: By the time we had finished our discovery call (Zoom meeting ...), I was bullish on the idea of a summit.

Over time, I've realized the smartest person in the room is the one who brings all the other smart people together. That's exactly what I did when I hosted a virtual summit.

It wasn't something I'd ever really considered, but I found it met my "new income stream requirements" of being easy, lucrative, and fun!

Here's what you can do: Invite 15-20 experts for 30-minute interviews. You ask curated questions (I recorded mine on Zoom with a custom background banner ... VistaPrint $80), run the summit for free (initially) with the option for viewers to get a premium pass for, let's say, $97. Over time you can adjust the price up or down, depending on a few factors.

My results from the Empire Builders Summit:

  • 500+ new email subscribers (in the first week)
  • $15,000 in direct sales
  • $50,000+ in backend course sales
  • My relationships with industry leaders were deepened (and we had so much fun!)

Now you:

  • Choose a theme around your book's topic/expertise
  • Craft your questions and make it fast and painless for your guests
  • Conduct your interviews over a two-week time-frame
  • Launch with "fanfare"

I'm being a little overly simplistic (see that read time up there?), but you get the gist.

Your expert guests may promote it to their audiences (you gotta ask nicely), which can give you massive reach without massive cash outlay. Over time, you can re-run your summit or make it an evergreen purchasing option.
