12/19/24 The "lazy" way to scale your book business (that actually works)

Reading time: 1 quick minute

Hi Reader!

Yesterday I promised to share that counterintuitive scaling idea that came to me during my "high maintenance" rest days?

Here it is: The most effective way to scale your book business is to do less, but do it deeper.

I know, I know--it might sound completely backwards! But here's what I mean:

Instead of creating 5 different courses, what if you took your best course and made it absolutely extraordinary?

Instead of launching three coaching programs, what if you focused on making one program so transformative that your clients can't stop talking about it?

My "Deep Scale Strategy" is how I've helped authors turn single books into multiple six-figure businesses without burning out.

Think about it like this: Would you rather have 10 shallow streams of income that constantly need your attention, or 2-3 deep rivers that flow steadily with less maintenance?

This is why I'm such a stickler about authors choosing their income streams carefully. When you go deep instead of wide, you actually create more impact with less effort.

Want to see exactly how this works? I share all about it in Building a Million Dollar Book Business--my course that is truly a deep dive into exactly how to build six- and seven-figure income streams (including step-by-step instructions with videos, downloadable agreements and templates, and so much more).

Get the course here: https://honoreecorder.com/bmdbb/ and use code subscriber to save 30%. For less than the cost of a latte a day, you can buy lattes for everyone, every single day, with some serious income streams in place. (Make mine a Cuban!)

I'll see you tomorrow!

Reading Time: Postcard (25 seconds) Happy Saturday! Since it's the weekend before Thanksgiving, I thought I'd share something I'm grateful for: the power of intentional rest. I mentioned taking my foot off the gas on Day 101--and I'm definitely looking forward to that. But don't get this part wrong about intentional rest--it doesn't mean doing nothing. Strategic rest is actually part of your work. When I rest after completing my 100-days, I'm not just lying around, counting my chickens. I'm...

Reading Time: Postcard (40 seconds)ICYMI: If 2026 is the year you'll finally write your book… make sure you’re on the Priority List by midnight. Yesterday I promised to share how I am thinking about next year, even as I make the most of the current year. I'm 83 days into my third and final 100-day sprint this year, which means I've got 17 days before this 100-day cycle is done. Each day equals 1% and should get me at least 1% closer to each of my goals. I'm a big believe in sprinting through...

Reading Time: Postcard (<30 seconds) Hope you got in on what's going down over Black Friday (but if not, you can join the priority list here)--and now back to my year-end / next year series. Once I've answered alllll of my questions, and looked really hard at my performance, it's time to think about what I want to achieve--no, not next year yet--the rest of the year. There are 41 days, just shy of six full weeks until the end of the year. That is plenty of time to put a few positive marks up...
