12/19/24 The "lazy" way to scale your book business (that actually works)

Reading time: 1 quick minute

Hi Reader!

Yesterday I promised to share that counterintuitive scaling idea that came to me during my "high maintenance" rest days?

Here it is: The most effective way to scale your book business is to do less, but do it deeper.

I know, I know--it might sound completely backwards! But here's what I mean:

Instead of creating 5 different courses, what if you took your best course and made it absolutely extraordinary?

Instead of launching three coaching programs, what if you focused on making one program so transformative that your clients can't stop talking about it?

My "Deep Scale Strategy" is how I've helped authors turn single books into multiple six-figure businesses without burning out.

Think about it like this: Would you rather have 10 shallow streams of income that constantly need your attention, or 2-3 deep rivers that flow steadily with less maintenance?

This is why I'm such a stickler about authors choosing their income streams carefully. When you go deep instead of wide, you actually create more impact with less effort.

Want to see exactly how this works? I share all about it in Building a Million Dollar Book Business--my course that is truly a deep dive into exactly how to build six- and seven-figure income streams (including step-by-step instructions with videos, downloadable agreements and templates, and so much more).

Get the course here: https://honoreecorder.com/bmdbb/ and use code subscriber to save 30%. For less than the cost of a latte a day, you can buy lattes for everyone, every single day, with some serious income streams in place. (Make mine a Cuban!)

I'll see you tomorrow!

Reading time: 27 secondsReader, Yesterday I told you about Elizabeth. She finished her book in three months and and she’ll tell you the Live Q&As made the difference. Courses give you structure, and you can get some of your questions answered with some great AI. But what AI can’t answer are the specific questions about your specific book, empire, or situation. Strategic decisions require strategic answers, and that’s what the Live Q&As are for. When I designed my publishing, marketing, and...

This past week, my client Elizabeth shared her story with me, and I want to share it with you, Reader. Seven years ago, she wrote a book (then she didn't do anything with it). Have you ever put time and effort into creating something, and then lost your momentum or motivation? (I know I have.) The manuscript sat on her computer, and even though she hired an editor, they weren't especially helpful. She wasn’t sure what to do next, so the manuscript just…waited. Waiting to be published, impact...

I was having a conversation with a friend last week. She said she was so exhausted and when I asked why, she said, "Well, my schedule is so full." Almost as an off-handed comment, she added, "And it's not doing sh*t I want to do, either." It came down to her saying "Yes." when she wanted to say, "NO!" That brings me to this bright and early Monday morning thought. Is this you: You got an invite, but you didn't want to go. You said yes anyway, because what would they think if you didn't? So...
