12/19/24 The "lazy" way to scale your book business (that actually works)

Reading time: 1 quick minute

Hi Reader!

Yesterday I promised to share that counterintuitive scaling idea that came to me during my "high maintenance" rest days?

Here it is: The most effective way to scale your book business is to do less, but do it deeper.

I know, I know--it might sound completely backwards! But here's what I mean:

Instead of creating 5 different courses, what if you took your best course and made it absolutely extraordinary?

Instead of launching three coaching programs, what if you focused on making one program so transformative that your clients can't stop talking about it?

My "Deep Scale Strategy" is how I've helped authors turn single books into multiple six-figure businesses without burning out.

Think about it like this: Would you rather have 10 shallow streams of income that constantly need your attention, or 2-3 deep rivers that flow steadily with less maintenance?

This is why I'm such a stickler about authors choosing their income streams carefully. When you go deep instead of wide, you actually create more impact with less effort.

Want to see exactly how this works? I share all about it in Building a Million Dollar Book Business--my course that is truly a deep dive into exactly how to build six- and seven-figure income streams (including step-by-step instructions with videos, downloadable agreements and templates, and so much more).

Get the course here: https://honoreecorder.com/bmdbb/ and use code subscriber to save 30%. For less than the cost of a latte a day, you can buy lattes for everyone, every single day, with some serious income streams in place. (Make mine a Cuban!)

I'll see you tomorrow!

Reading Time: 16 seconds Day 8: Still iced in. Mother Nature is running on her own timeline, and arguing with her seems unproductive. Instead of frustration, I'm choosing gratitude. (I've got this indefatigable positive attitude, remember? "That's awesome!") Every morning, I make a gratitude list: I'm so happy and grateful: I can work from home. We have power and food. For the unexpected gift of uninterrupted time to think, create, and plan. That the roads will eventually clear and life will...

Reading Time: 17 seconds Happy Friday! I don't know about you, Reader, but I can practically taste the weekend—even if I'll be spending it in the same spot I've occupied for a week. The ice is still hanging on with impressive determination, but you know what? So am I!! I decided that no matter what happens, my response is gonna be: "That's awesome!" Mrs. Claus made a meatloaf, but the oven doesn't work? That's awesome! (Byron threw it on the grill--it was delish!) The insurance won't get the...

Reading Time: 23 still very chilly seconds You might think by Day 6 of being iced in, I'd be climbing the walls or reorganizing my spice cabinet for the fourth time. Or drinking that peach moonshine one of our neighbors gifted us a few months ago. But no (at least not yet, 😉)—I'm still locked in on my intended outcomes. Some of you know I used to say I had a t-shirt that said, "I'm sorry I'm late, I didn't want to come." Then my brother got me one for Christmas. I may or may not be wearing it...
